|||Twitter was flooded with videos and images of police firing rubber bullets and tear gas at students from Rhodes University who have been protesting against rape culture on the campus after the #RUReferenceList was posted to the Rhodes SRC Facebook page.
On Tuesday students took their protest action further with the #NakedProtests on campus, but tensions continued to rise between students and police, culminating in the firing of rubber bullets and arrest of students on Wednesday morning.
