Netcare 911 spokeswoman Athlenda Mathe said the crash happened on the R41 in Randfontein on Friday morning.
Details were sketchy and at the time of writing emergency services were still busy at the accident scene.
The road was cordoned off.
The reason for the collision was not immediately known and neither was it known how many people were injured.
