Luckily the female driver didn’t hit anyone when she drove through the display of the clothing store on Sunningdale Street in Blaauwberg on Wednesday afternoon.
It’s not clear what happened before she hit the women’s section of the shop.
Netcare 911 says a shopper and an employee were injured when a shelf fell on top of them after the crash.
“Two people have sustained minor injuries‚ one a shop employee and the other a customer‚ after a light motor vehicle crashed into a clothing store on Sunningdale Street in Blaauwberg‚ Cape Town,” Netcare said in a statement.
“The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment”.
Paramedics treated the employee for minor injuries before transporting her to a nearby hospital, while the customer was transported privately to a nearby hospital.
“The driver of the vehicle, who was a female, did not sustain any injuries,” Netcare added.
