The body of Schumané Magielies, who disappeared earlier this week, has been found tied up and wrapped in blankets on a Missionvale street.
|||Agoa Park – The body of a teenager who went missing in Algoa Park earlier in the week was found on Friday morning, Eastern Cape police said.
Schumané Magielies, 17, from Missionvale, Algoa Park, went missing in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Magielies visited her brother, who lives in the same area, on Monday night and left his house at 3am the next morning. She failed to return home.
“Later that day, her parents reported her missing at SAPS Algoa Park,” said police spokeswoman Priscilla Naidu.
“At about 05:15, today (17/06), her body was found lying outside a house in Kadett street, Missionvale. She was wrapped in blankets and tied up.”
Police opened a case of murder and are investigating the circumstances around her death.
