A man was killed when the microlight he was piloting crashed into a sugarcane field north of Durban.
|||Durban - A man was killed when the microlight he was piloting crashed into a sugarcane field north of Durban on Friday.
Robert McKenzie, spokesman for the KwaZulu-Natal provincial Emergency Medical Service (EMS), said that the crash happened on a sugar estate in the Glendale area near KwaDukuza (formerly Stanger).
He said the man, believed to be about 60 years old, had succumbed to his injuries by the time EMS paramedics arrived on scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately known and authorities were on scene investigating.
