Netcare911 spokeswoman Athlenda Mathe said the woman had bites to her hands and arms, but fortunately, not to her face and neck area. “She was stabilised and taken to a provincial hospital,” she said.
Mathe said they had joined another paramedic team to stabilise the woman.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane said a case of keeping a vicious dog had been opened at Newlands East police station.
